From: E-consults: an effective way to decrease clinic wait times in rheumatology
The journey of positive ANA referrals through the referral system and the final diagnosis category. Primary care providers (PCP) choose the initial consult method (E-consult or in-person visit). A rheumatologist reviews all consults before appointments are scheduled and can change clinic visits to E-consults (or vice versa) if their chart review deems this appropriate.
