IL-17 receptor expression analysis in bovine articular cartilage by PCR and agarose gel (2%) electrophoresis. mRNA was extracted from the cartilage tissue of two animals, obtained within 48 h after slaughter, reverse-transcribed to cDNA, and 0.5 ng of template cDNA was amplified with IL-17 receptor primers. In both animals, PCR products for IL-17RA (lanes labeled A, expected size 459 bp) and IL-17RC (lanes C, expected size 178 bp) were observed. Additionally, PCR products for IL-17RD (lanes D, expected 364 or 433 bp) were also observed, albeit very weak in animal 2. Lanes are labeled with letters denoting the IL17R variant amplified and bands corresponding to the expected product sizes are indicated with white arrowheads
